Hot off the Press
Many of the projects that Maria Lainas has collaborated on in the past have had some distinguished actors on board.
Whether Maria casted the Main Characters or whether she was brought into a project to find B and/or C roles such as stunts, dancers, performers, immigrants, divers, elders or members of the LGBTQ community, the energy she puts into it does not differ.
Many a times she is on location, either in downtown Athens, a village somewhere up in the mountains, or on an island in the Aegean Sea scouting for the perfect faces or perfect someones to match the needs of each director and production.
As things on set can be crazy, most of the time, getting a picture taken is not an easy task. When being in the right place, at the right time happens, well...one just has to grab the opportunity!

Aegean "Petropouleas Family"
Rhodes, 2015
Over 100 people came together to create the family members of the "Petropoulea Family." After a week of casting thousands of people on location in the island of Rhodes, Maria had to fulfil the task, via photos, of creating a family from the persons casted around Greece, which fit colours and body types, with those on the island. Great fun using the hotel lobby floor as a spread sheet in order to get this one done!
